Dead week - not quite living up to its name
I've had a rather busy week for it being dead week.
Tuesday I woke up from a dream about missing my lab exam, obviously my subconscious had great faith in me :] But it wasn't too bad, so that was nice :] And that's the class with a final at 3.30pm on Saturday, but it's optional so with the third lab and lecture exam scores, I don't have to take it! Woo!
I went to my stat class and then for a run after then, and then I had work. I worked a Purdue Student Government and Santa was there! It was a fun shift.
While I was there, I was elected COM Vice President again, and I still haven't been to an election. Go me :]
Wednesday I didn't have EAS - they were reviewing for the final exam and I'm not taking it :D
After my classes, I got lunch with my Big and Twin for Larn's birthday - unfortunately Jason and Billy couldn't be there. That was fun :] I read after that and watched Serenity (the movie conclusion to the Firefly series) at Wesley before getting to hang with Geoff for a bit.
Thursday I got to sleep in a bit, and then I had taken Wednesday to relax so Thursday I studied just about all day at Wesley. I left for the house dinner, where we had a white elephant exchange, and then it was time for Psi informal rush. There were so many prospectives there, it was awesome :]
Seth had been playing through a campaign of Halo 4 so I could see the ending, and so he finished that up for me that evening.
Friday I had classes, and then there was a Harry Potter movie marathon going on at Wesley. I only got to watch half of two movie, though, before it was time to go to the NCAA women's volleyball regionals. I got a buy-one-get-one deal on Cyber Monday, so Geoff and I were planning to go. Then, during this week, I saw that the Purdue team was going to be playing on Friday so I was super excited :] We lost, unfortunately, but it was still fun to go.
Saturday I had another white elephant thing with Psi (I used my present from the house exchange - it was apple things, which I wouldn't eat, and hair spray, which I don't use). Then it was time for final chapter, which wasn't too long since there were no seniors to rant. After that, we went to El Rodeo, and then my room was super bloody cold so I chilled in common room with Seth, Kyle and Ryan Hossler all afternoon :]
Today I woke up at 10.30 and immediately wondered what was wrong with me - I never sleep that late.
My run today was 8 miles, in the cold and the rain. After I realized how cold it was with my wet stuff on I took a very hot shower, and then spent 4 hours on the couch because I felt like crap. I was slightly worried - what are the symptoms of hypothermia?? - but afer I slept a little I felt better. I suppose 1.5 hours in the cold rain was just going to kick my butt either way.
And today was Mario's last Sunday with us :[ He's going to Boston next semester to go to Seminary, and to be closer to his daughter, which I think is really good for him. But I'm gonna miss him.
And now I'm back on the couch to watch some football!
Sorry for the short post, but it's finals week next week so I'm kinda stressed. This should be a fun week - I can't wait till 3pm on Thursday - I'll be done!
Till then,

Is it Christmas break yet??
This weekend was an awesome one, and I was tired which is why this is getting written a day late :]
Monday it was back to classes an I decided that I didn't want to do school anymore. I'm ready for this semester to be over - just about everything I'm looking forward to (Christmas, getting a little, going to Disney for my birthday) is beyond finals.
After my classes I had time to relax before going to orchestra.
Tuesday I had my classes and then work, where I was the only student scheduled to work so I did some studying for the exam I had on Wednesday. And then people were watching The Expendables 2 so I joined them. Before the movie started, I wrote this down: 'Based on the cast, I think I know what's going to happen. There will be lots of explosions, lots of firefights, some sort of discernible plot but mostly it's gonna be action eye candy.'
And what do you know - my prediction was pretty spot on :D
Wednesday I got up to register for my Spanish class, or not? The system said it was open registration, yet it still said there was a hold on upper-level Spanish classes.
I had to take my exam, so I did that and went to my classes, and then when I checked again I could register. At least I got into the section I wanted.
I got some food and watched Brave, then had to go to the grocery store. After I relaxed a bit more before going to orchestra, where we got to rehearse with the singers! There was one guy that had a mustache that curled up at the ends, and the first words we heard him say was 'Maids like me, I'm neat.' And he did a little twich thing with his mustache - it was hilarious. I was cracking up :]
After orchestra I watched Jurassic Park 2 with Geoff and then it was time to sleep.
Thursday I went for a run and to my stat class, then had exec at Wesley, and painted stuff for Psi rituals, and had a Stat exam. So after that I played Kingdom Hearts for a bit.
Friday morning and afternoon went something like this:
+classes
+chill at Elliott
+slate at Elliott
+chill at Elliott
+equipment move at Elliott
So I was sitting in Elliott quite a bit. Slate is a Psi thing - when you submit a petition for an exec position you have a meeting with slete. Slate then submits a lineup of who they think should be in the positions during elections. I had submitted a petition for Treasurer so I had to meet with Slate.
After moving various concert equipment to the Long Center, we had a rush event with Psi. We were going to go ice skating, but the ice skating place was still closed so we went to Great Skates - a roller rink. I'm not a good roller blader, so I just sat to the side and talked with people. It was a good choice too.
When we decided to leave, I got to hang with Geoff for a bit before we had to sleep - we both had to be up early.
Saturday I was up for elections - they were at 8.30 (gag me with a spork) so that was... joyous. I didn't get elected as treasurer, but I was nominated for a few positions from the floor (like while we were at elections people nominated me) so that was a nice compliment.
I had to leave a bit early for rehearsal, and then my mom was here! We went walking around downtown Lafayette and then went to the hotel to laugh at Pinterest together before my concert. And it was such a fun concert! I miss pit, so that was really fun for me. By the way - this is a video from the concert, the mustache man is the one standing closest to Andy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?&v=EfFsVFoRdKE
After the concert, we did some more laughing at Pinterest and talked with dad before crashing.
Sunday we got to sleep in! That was exciting for both of us :D We got brunch at a fun little resturaunt in Lafayette and then went to the GABS game. Unfortunately, the marching band people that weren't being exempted to be at GABS were using their horns for the Lafayette Christmas Parade, so there weren't enough tubas for me and the one other girl that isn't a marching tuba :[ So I traded off with Roach (all the marching toobahs have nicknames) and it was still fun :]
That evening was the MOW Christmas dinner, but after getting back from GABS I didn't want to do anything else so I played some more Kingdom Hearts and Geoff came over for a little while and then it was sleepy time - but I didn't have to wake up for EAS!
Today was the start of deas week - and so it begins.
I went to my classes and read for a bit, then had a short orchestra - we just turned in music and talked about what's going on in the future. We're taking an international trip in May 2014! They had one in 2011 but I was already going to go to London, so it's time to start saving my pennies for this next one :D
Then I came back to the house and watched some old Doctor Who while studying - the 80's episodes are weird. I have a lab exam tomorrow, this should be interesting.
Later!

It's officially Christmas time!
What a week.
Monday I had classes and then Liz and I got our lease signed - we both like having the certainty that brings. After that I had to start packing, so of course I get an email about the New Fantasyland at Disney World. And when I went to the site, there was a story that goes along with it all! I was thoroughly distracted. I'm such a six year old girl :]
And after that I realized that I didn't have work for over a week, so I could paint my nails! It's the little things in life :] (We can't have painted nails at work because if the polish were to chip into food that would be all kinds of terrible.)
I had orchestra that evening, and the basses actually got out early! What's been happening recently is the violins leave first because they don't play on some songs, then violas and finally the celloes and basses go. So I got to watch more of the Monday Night Countdown before Da Bears played.
And by halftime, I was playing Kingdom Hearts instead - that was an ugly game.
Tuesday I finished packing and made pancakes for brunch with Geoff, then I was off!
The drive wasn't too bad, there was one point where the traffic was getting slow, but I was hungry so I got some fries from Arby's and when I got back on the road it was smooth going.
And once I got home, I got to chill with my family! We watched some tv, including a geeky Castle episode - which was amazing :D It was so funny.
Wednesday I helped clean up around the house, and then half of the Bogdas arrived! My mom and I went to pick up our Turkey Trot race packets and get some running gear from Dick Pond's with Aunt Kelly and McKayla joining us and then bring dinner home, and at last Melissa and Uncle Mark got there (Kristin couldn't join us :[ )
Thursday it was Thanksgiving! I went for a short run with my mom and we started making food. We ate dinner around 3, and that's always a good time when my family gets together :]
After dinner it was time to figure out what we're doing with Black Friday. A few stores had good deals that we wanted to take advantage of and opened that evening, so we went out with the crazies. That was an experience. We went to Target, HHGregg and Kohl's, going to sleep quickly when we got back :]
Friday we left the house around 10 - that was nice. We normally leave around 7am.
We went to Game Stop and then the mall. Where we got our peppermint bark cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory! After eating that it was officially Christmas Time :D
However, it was a bit insane there, and by a bit I mean a LOT. We finished what we wanted to look at and got the heck out of there.
We were home by 4, that was nice too :] Then it was nap time for everyone!
After all the girls took a nap, we had some family time watching Brave. We're such a Disney family :]
Saturday morning my mom and I were out in the cold running the Turkey Trot. It was so cold! And it took them 20 ish minutes after when they said it would start to actually start the race, so we were all standing there freezing.
But after that, it was time for football! And Purdue won! IU sucks! :] And Virginia Tech won! It was a good afternoon for football.
Uncle Mark and McKayla had to leave that afternoon, so the rest of the girls did some more shopping that evening before watching more football. Unfortunately, the evening brought another Notre Dame win, so the day wasn't quite perfect for football.
Today my mom, dad and brother went to the Bears game so it was just me, Melissa and Aunt Kelly at the house in the morning. We all had to get on the 290, so we went to lunch together and started our respective drives back. Mine was annoying as all get out - there were two spots where it was gridlocked traffic. During the first one, I was listening to the Bears game on the Milwaukee radio station (in Merrillville, IN - odd...) and when I got to the front of the jam there was one car pulled over to change a tire - not even a police car or anything.
During the second jam, I was listening to Christmas music and there was nothing at the front - suddenly everyone around me was moving again. That was even more annoying.
But I made it back. I unpacked and put up my few Christmas decorations for my room, then decided to write a petition to be treasurer for chapter. I added a few things at the chapter meeting, and just sent it out. Here goes.
And now I'm watching the Giants beat up the Packers and wondering what the heck is on Aaron Rogers's face... It's an interesting look...
This week I've got a few exams, so it's back to that. I want it to be Christmas break already...
Later!

You know you're related to an NFL official when:
Faced with the unfortunate choice between Green Bay v. Detroit (as a Bears fan), or Cleveland v. Dallas (as an Eagles fan), you choose the Dallas game because Ed Hochuli is the referee.
That happened to me today, actually.
However, on Tuesday I had a full day, but it was a fun full day. It started off with an EAS lab field trip to Happy Hollow. It was so cold! But it was kinda fun to get out and about. Then I had stat, and then my dad was here! He was driving from Indy to Chicago so he stopped off and we got lunch. When he left, I had a little bit of time where I read and finally started to warm up before Liz and I had an apartment viewing. It was at Nichols Apartments, and we both liked it. We're planned to see a few more on Friday.
I had dinner with Mariah and Stephanie, and then a Psi chapter field representative was visiting us - like she came here to see what we're doing and if she could suggest any improvements or anything - so we had a special chapter meeting with her.
So yeah, busy, but fun :D
Wednesday I had class in the morning, and then I read and watched Halo all afternoon, that was quite nice :D I had to do laundry too, so I got that done. I had orchestra that evening, then got to hang with Geoff after.
Thursday I had class and exec, then went for a run. We had house dinner, and I had a Spanish essay due the next day so I worked on that.
Friday I went to my classes and then read at Wesley before apartment viewing with Liz. I was reading Outlander, a book that my mom and I both love, and I finished it with about 2 hours till the appointment so I went to the house to get Dragonfly in Amber (the next book in the series) and went back to Wesley to read some more :]
The first set of apartments that we viewed were nice but kinda meh, and they were a bit pricier. We had a bit of time before the next appointment so we chilled at Agate.
The next apartments we viewed were Cochran, and they were nice and we liked them too. So we sat down and compared between Nichols and Cochran. It was small things that decided it - like Cochran is down a hill from campus and we'd have to cross River Road while Nichols is on South Chauncey and so we wouldn't have to walk up a hill first thing as we go to class.
So Nichols it is! We weren't sure what we need to sign a lease, so we planned to go before I leave for Thanksgiving.
I watched some Halo and ate my dinner, and then went over to Geoff's to watch more Halo and a cheesy 80's Clint Eastwood and Firefly with Geoff and his roomies. It was a fun evening.
Saturday I got to sleep in :D and I didn't have anything really going on so I got to chill and go on a run before going to work. And it was a sound shift, which meant that I got to hide in the sound booth - good thing there was paper so I could write. After that I watched some more Firefly with Geoff :]
Today I slept in again - I can get used to this sleeping till 9.30 thing.. Too bad I have class tomorrow.
The only football games that were on were the two mentioned above (Cleveland/Dallas and Green Bay/Detroit) - gag me with a spork. I just had the one on and did some reading before the WOW dinner. Our theme was Super Mario - that was fun :] I didn't really want to dress up like a character, though, so I just helped make the food.
After that was chapter, and now I'm kinda worn out but I don't know why since I didn't really do anything this weekend. Oh well, I get to go home on Tuesday! I can't wait :]

SAG Wagon-ing
I seem to not be doing so well at the whole writing this on Sunday evenings thing... Sorry about that.
So Tuesday I managed to avoid most of the ungodly amounts of politics that were going on, so that was nice :] I went to my lab and my stat class, then I had work. After work, I was so excited about the election that I was planning on watching a Disney movie in my room until I heard Seth had gotten Halo 4, instead I watched him play that until I went to sleep. I knew someone would put it on facebook so I'd just figure it out later :]
Which meant that Wednesday people were going crazy about the election and results, I just had an 'ok, people, calm down' attitude all day.
I had my vector calc exam, so that was less than fun. And then I didn't know what to do with myself, I was just completely fried. After three weeks of constant stress, It's actually kinda nice to be out from under that blanket. I relaxed in the afternoon and after orchestra I watched Jurassic Park with Geoff. (That's actually only the second time I've seen that movie, the first time was last year. People tend to be rather surprised when they find out how many classics I'v never actually seen.)
Thursday I had a relaxing morning, which was nice. After class and food and exec, I went for a run. And I ran 3.25 miles in 32.21 min - that's about exactly 10 min pace. I'm in better shape than I thought! :]
Our house dinner was that evening, where a wild Kyle appeared! He came out to help with Winterization and it was nice to have him in the house again for the weekend :] Afterwards I did some apartment comparing with Liz - we want to get a lease signed pretty soon since we both like having the certainty of knowing where we're going to live next year :]
Friday when I got back from class I had a package from my mom! It was mostly Mary Kay stuff, so like facial cleanser, but it was still a package from mom :D I had work again that evening, and then it was Winterization weekend so there was a SAG meeting. I wasn't as involved with the planning side, but I did volunteer as a Support And Gear member, we're out in the areas with teams and bring things like ladders and rakes when they need them. After the meeting, I knew that I was going to have to get up early so I went to sleep fairly quickly.
Saturday was Winterization! Last year I managed to sleep through 30 min of alarms going off every minute (admittedly, I could have turned them off in my sleep) so it was exciting when I actually woke up on time this year :]
I was on a SAG team with Meagan Sapp-Nelson, Sam Ferdon and Aaron Addis. Sam was driving, Aaron navigating and Meagan and I were communications people - we wanted the teams to call us when they got to houses and left houses and when they needed things so we could make sure they were doing okay. Unfortunately, Sam was driving his brother's truck (Andrew who lived here last year) and the back of Andrew's truck is rather small... Meagan and I were slightly cramped but we made it work. It was kinda funny, Aaron and Sam know each other and were bickering a bit at various directions so Meagan and I were entertained :] (When we answered phones, I said 'SAG Wagon, this is Carly' and she said something similar, that's where the title of the post comes from :] )
And it was only 2.30p when we were all done and leaving Wesley to go home! Last year people were still working on houses at 3pm O.o Unfortunately I was kinda hurting so I watched us beat Iowa (!!) and then went to sleep a bit before Eric came over to join Kyle and Seth play some Halo 4 and I watched before going to GABS (and the women won again!). And then after GABS, I watched some more Halo and Fringe with Geoff and his roomies. It was kinda funny, when Geoff and I got there, Joe was playing Halo online with his brother and some friends but John wanted to watch a movie. He said 'Hey, Geoff and Carly are here so we should watch a movie now' but I said 'But, it's Halo! I want to watch him play' and Geoff said something about picking the right girlfriend :D
Yesterday I got to have a nice relaxing morning - it was blissful after the long day I had on Saturday. Around 12.30 I got lunch with Lauren T from Psi - it was her birthday! We got some chili and chatted, it was fun :]
I was planning on going to get groceries before work, but when I was looking to see what channels had football going, I saw that Band of Brothers was on Spike for Veteran's Day. So Band of Brothers won :]
I got scheduled to work at 4.30p - I have church at 4.30 and chapter at 7.30 so I had no idea why I was there. It was an easy sound shift though, just plug one end of the cord into the mic and the other into the wall and you're golden so I got everything set up and then left as they were serving food to go to chapter. After chapter I went back to put it all away (I don't like making other people clean up the sound stuff if I'm scheduled for a sound shift) and then went to the CoRec. I had a five mile run scheduled, so I was running on a treadmill for 54 min. The thing is, anything more than 10-20 min on a treadmill drives me bonkers so at least I had my ipod to sing along with - yay Disney workout playlist :]
I had planned on watching the Bears game after that, but they weren't playing all that well and Band of Brothers was still playing so I watched that :]
And now today I had class this morning, then got to chat with my mom :D They (she, my dad and brother) went to Missouri over the weekend to visit Mizzou for Ricky and visit the Bogdas - I was thinking about driving out to visit too but with Winterization it wouldn't've worked. But I did get to talk with her today, and my dad's going to be here tomorrow so that helps :] And now I need to actually go to the grocery store, so I shall post this.

I'm not questioning your powers of observation, I'm merely remarking on the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.
A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having :]
To finish from Tuesday last week, after I posted I saw an envelope on the table and the address looked suspiciously like my mom's handwriting and CM stickers... It was a package from my mom! :D And it definitely made my day - inside was fun socks, iTunes giftcard and a butterscotch See's lollipop, she knows me so well :D
We had our last GABS rehearsal before the first game, and I may or may not have been fighting with the tuba - the part holding the mouthpiece wanted to move and I wanted it to stay put. I think the tuba won...
Wednesday I had classes and after had some of my leftover tomato soup :D For the remainder of the afternoon, since we didn't have orchestra, I was reading on a couch in the second floor common room while watching Seth play Skyrim before going over to Geoff's and watching Super 8, which was a good movie.
Thursday I woke up from a rather vivid zombie dream (that I didn't write any of it down, so now I don't remember it really) and looked at my watch to see it say 10.50. I looked at it for a bit longer to make sure that was what it said (I've misread my watch enough times to be wary of what it says on first glance), and when the numbers didn't change or rearrange themselves, I looked at the text messages I'd gotten during the night (facebook and twitter - I'm so cool ;D ) and wondered how the heck I managed to sleep so late.
So, of course, when I looked at my watch again after reading texts, It said it was 8.51. Sometimes I wonder what's wrong with my brain...
During my stat class that day, a girl in the row next to me had Starbucks and it was the day after Halloween so obviously it's time for the Christmas Starbucks cups...
I was preparing the desserts for the pseudo house dinner that evening, so I was baking most of the day. That was fun :] Then we had dinner and an All Saint's Day service at Mount Zion church - a church that Wesley's associated with.
After the dinner, I went for a run at the new CoRec - I like the new building :]
By the time it was Friday, I couldn't believe that it was already Friday (the first few days of the week went by without me really realizing it since I was so stressed).
I went to class and then had nothing to do, so I took a walk to Happy Hollow Park. That was nice, it was a beautiful day outside.
When I got back, I listened to music and wrote a bit, suddenly realizing that there was no one else in the house. It was a little odd.
Staying in an empty house by myself all evening on a Friday - I'm so cool and popular :D
Heh, or not. Oh well, I brewed some Polyjuice potion on Pottermore and was happy :D
Saturday I was serving the football team breakfast and lunch, so from 6.30a to 2p I was at work. Which means I missed the sleet - evidently it was sleet/snowing in the morning.
Then it was time for the game! The halftime show was really really cool too :D
Unfortunately, the game didn't go quite as well... Geoff and I decided at the end of the third quarter that we couldn't feel our feet and were hungry so we wanted to head out. We went back to his apartment (yay warmth!) and watched some more football - so a typical Saturday for me :D
Sunday I got up early to go to stadium cleanup, and after that I had a little bit of time to get ready for GABS. I made sure to get to Elliott fairly early so I could get my tuba and follow someone over to Mackey since I really didn't know where to go.
And it was time for that game! I didn't get any pictures (sorry, mom) since I was playing and everyone around me was playing. However, I'm planning on giving my camera to a friend for next game so I should have some then.
The game went well, and it was so fun :D
After that, I went to church. And it's a good thing Wesley isn't traditional, given that I was dressed in athletic shorts and a tshirt, my GABS uniform. I kinda looked like a frump, but that was ok :]
I had chapter, and then remembered that I had to write a Spanish essay that night... Oops.
Today I woke up and finished the essay that I started, and went to class. It's chilly outside today. And today's the fifth of November, so therefore it was obligatory that I watch V for Vendetta. The Eagles are playing the Saints tonight, so I knew that I wouldn't want to watch the movie after orchestra so I watched it after class. And now I'm finishing up Stat homework for tomorrow before I go to orchestra.
Remember, remember the fifth of November, the Gunpowder Treason and plot.
I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot.

Halloweekend
Well, at least there's only like a week left of this.
Last Tuesday (a week ago, sorry for the delay) I woke up and saw that it was supposed to rain and so planned on wearing my rain boots.
A half hour later, it was monsooning. There was so much water falling from the sky! Where was all this in the summer, when we needed it?
I went to my EAS lab, and after I was in rather incredible amounts of pain. My insides really hurt, so after my stat class (which I was about a half hour away from skipping all together, exam on Thursday be damned) I made a beeline to home to rest.
I spent the afternoon chilling on the couch, so it wasn't quite the productive afternoon I was hoping for, but I felt better by 5.30 when I went to meet the other basses to put together our costumes.
We were going to dress up as whatever, and across the top of our basses we made a Pac Man and had white styrofoam balls. We painted the Pac Man with a sponge, so the first few coats looked kinda funny but it turned out.
Wednesday I went to my classes and then made myself some ravioli :D I went for a run, then had orchestra and GABS till 10. And that was when I started to freak out a bit - my stat exam was in less than 24 hours and I hadn't really studied.
Thursday I woke up at 9 and proceeded to hole myself up in my room to avoid distractions and study. I took a break at 2.30 for the exec meeting, but other than that I was in my room all day.
The exam didn't go as poorly as it could have, but not as well as I'd hoped. Geoff had an exam too that evening, so afterwards we didn't really want to think - so we watched Captain America :D
Friday I woke up and it was rather cold outside - where had the nice weather from the previous day gone?
After class and some more ravioli, I wanted some bookstore therapy and went to Robots and Rogues - a local bookstore just across the river where I had some giftcards. To add to that, I watched Beauty and the Beast when I got back, but then had to work. I was on sound, though, and the speaker that I was listening to was kinda funny. He's an entymology professor here and he was talking about bugs, it was fun to listen to.
After work, I went to Exploration Acres with Geoff - they have a corn maze there and we wandered around that for a while before we were both cold and wanted to watch The Road to El Dorado and have some hot cider :]
Saturday I got up at 9.30 and went for a run before it was time to clean the house for the Halloween party that evening. After cleaning a bit, I had to make a Target run and go to work, so I missed the football game. (I heard about it later, I've never been more glad that I didn't watch a game in my life. Well, until I saw the highlights from the Eagles game on Sunday...)
And when I got back from work, it was time to party! I was Amy Pond and Geoff was Rory Williams (a couple from Doctor Who) and we knew that Mario and Catherine were going to be the doctor and River Song (another couple), so it was pretty funny when Heather walked in as the TARDIS, not knowing that there was already a group of themed characters there :]
The group of Doctor Who characters left to right:
Catherine as Dr. River Song
Mario as The Doctor
Heather as the TARDIS
Geoff as Rory Williams
Me as Amy Pond (Geoff and I both have hash marks drawn on our arms and faces, another reference)
I'm not really a partier (in case you couldn't tell :P ), though, so pretty soon after everyone started to disperse I went to bed.
Sunday I woke up at 10 - that was weird. I'm so used to waking up early that when I wake up after 9.30 I feel like I've wasted my day. And it's only 10 in the morning. Sometimes I wonder what's wrong with me... :]
I spent my morning getting ready for concert, and then it was time to play!
The concert went pretty well, and it was really fun too :]
There are more pictures from the party and concert on facebook, should you care to check them out.
However, I still hadn't studied so no church for me that afternoon, and and I had two exams before noon the next morning, therefore it was officially time to freak out.
I took a short break to go to chapter (where I heard there was quite the interesting party that a bunch of brothers went to on Saturday, and I'm actually kinda glad I didn't go - remember what I said about not being a partier? :] ) and saw a video that Kyle posted on facebook that made me laugh: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQBwVFDULQg
And sorry, I was studying instead of writing, so this didn't get written at my normal time on Sunday evening.
Monday morning went like this:
+exam at 8.30
+skip my 9.30 to study Spanish since I hadn't at all yet
+exam at 11.30
And then I fried and didn't want to study for my exam tomorrow... So How to Train Your Dragon was the obvious solution :]
I went to orchestra that evening and made an attempt at studying while watching football, but managed to stress myself into feeling physically ill again, so that put a stop to the studying.
Today I had my lab exam in the morning, and that didn't go quite as well as could've been hoped for... Hopefully I got a few anyways.
I had my stat class and then came back home and made some tomato soup and biscuits for lunch, yum :]
And then I've been writing this entry and watching Seth play Skyrim, and there's GABS rehearsal later on tonight (first game is Sunday!) so I'm hopeful that the ending of my day will go better than the beginning :]
Sorry for the delay, hope this entry is worth the wait :D

I don't think the answer is to take stimulants...
It's been an interesting week.
Monday didn't really start the week off that well, so that was annoying. I went to my first class, then preemptively skipped my next one to take a nap because I knew I would just fall asleep in class if I went. That was nice, then after my last class of the day I went to one of my Psi brother's house to help with the sanding and priming of the new pregame stars. Part of the marching band pregame show is a salute to America and the band forms a shield on the field, with peoople holding stars. My BIT class service project was building new ones, and we finally finished them halfway through the semester after. Yay, go team :]
Then it was time for orchestra, and then football :D And homework... I got it done, though, and then I was super tired. Plus the game wasn't looking all that good. I watched enough to see Denver score, then it was time to sleep. (I looked at the score later on, I should've watched more - it got good :] )
Tuesday I had my EAS lab and Stat class, then I had to work. And it was later when I got out of there that I had wanted, so I had homework to do and I didn't run - not the best day I could've had. I did get the stuffs done, while watching Robin Hood too :]
Wednesday I had my 2 earlier classes, then an hour break where I decided that I was hungry so I got an early lunch. After my next class, I went for a run and then it was orchestra time. I drove to orchestra because I had GABS rehearsal after.
That one was fun. I don't know what I'm doing - yay! The toobahs do all sorts of fun moves and things while playing, so I was following along and just kinda guessing. It was really fun though :D
And I was super glad that I drove since it was raining when we left. Unfortunately, though, I had the problem where I couldn't lift my arm very high and I forgot to get Geoff to give me a shoulder rub before I dropped him off. Oh well, I was tired enough that I just kinda crashed after getting home.
Thursday I got to sleep in! I had my one class of the day, then went to chill at Wesley before the exec meeting. And that evening, no one signed up to make food, so it was pizza for house dinner!
And then I watched The Princess Bride with Geoff - he'd never seen it before. The 'Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.' line was the one where he said 'Oh, that's where that comes from.' I figured that would be the one :]
Friday between classes we had a chapter services gathering to go through the things for ritual to see what was broken and needed to be replaced.
After my second class it was narsty outside so I read on a couch. All afternoon! :D That was nice.
Then I got dinner with Larn! I was petsitting for her for the weekend so she showed me where things were and things like that in her apartment.
Saturday I got up and went to work - where there was just a general sense of chaos that was kinda weird. We said that we hoped it figured itself out before the wedding that evening.
I took some time to chill at Larn's place with her puppy and kitty before going to dinner and Looper with Geoff. Since I kinda ditched him on his birthday (it was last Friday, Ricky's senior game) we postponed it till Saturday. After Looper (which was pretty good, plus Joseph Gordon-Levitt is pretty darn cute ;] ) we watched The Emperor's New Groove. It was a good evening :]
Sunday I got to sleep in, till about 9. I went for a run and might've gotten slightly lost on some trails though the woods. At least I wanted to go for a 45 minute run anyways... :]
Larn has Gnomeo and Juliet, so I watched that before going to the Psi cookout. Where I ate pretzels and an apple and water because it was all hot dogs and greasy chips and sugar.
After that, it was football time! And the Nightmare Before Christmas was on, so I watched that too :]
Then I needed groceries so I went to Kroger and when I got back I called to talk with my dad for his birthday :D And there was more football! And I was rather tired so I postponed typing this up to today.
Today I oake up at 8.30 - the time my first class starts. My first thought was 'well, crap' and went about getting ready for my other two classes.
I just kinda vaguely worked on homework and procrastination before orchestra.
That was a fun rehearsal. Some quotes of the day, brought to you by Andy King:
+Cool people never do anything too quickly. (telling us to slow down)
+First violins, you need to be a little sleazier about this. (talking about Carmen's Habanera)
+Pizzicato means play too quickly. (it actually means pluck the string, if you didn't know)
+Abstinence is the best policy. (one way of saying 'if you aren't playing in time, just don't play')
And, my personal favorite,
+I don't think the answer is to take stimulants... (the second violins were too slow and he was wondring how to help them go faster)

The Men Who Stare at Goats - John's favorite Star Wars movie :]
Well this has been an interesting week.
Tuesday I made my annual Goebbert's trip with Nicole - that was so much fun! They had baby tigers in one of the animal tents - I wanted to take one home :] And of course we had to take pictures with the character cutouts:
We're so cute :D
After the farm, I had lunch with my daddy :]
But then it was time to head back to school. Silly school, getting in the way of my time with my family.
I made it, though, and decided that I wanted to watch Princess Bride for the evening :] 'So you'll put down your rock and I'll put down my sword and we'll try and kill each other like civilized people?' My favorite line :D
Wednesday it was so cold! I went to class and stayed at Wesley for a bit to see people. Then I went to orchestra and watched Fringe with Geoff and his roommates for a bit. Yeah, it was quite the uneventful day.
Thursday I got up and went to the grocery store before helping get the instrument petting zoo set up. In Psi we were hosting what we called an instrument petting zoo - we had a bunch of instruments that people could come and see. Well, I was going to help them set up, but then I may or may not have gotten in a fight with the self checkout machine and gotten delayed... Oops.
I went to my class and then we had Wesley exec. But it was so cold at Wesley! We were all freezing.
After exec, Liz and I did some camparing of apartments - like seeing what we both wanted and which places would fit that.
After house dinner, I had planned to do my Spanish homework and relax a bit. Then Jamie had an allergic reaction to some cold/cough medicine she bought so Mariah and I took her to St Elizabeth Central (the only urgent care place we could think of that would be ope, which was surprising given we're in a college town). That wasn't precisely fun, but we got to chat for a bit and it wasn't a severe reaction so it was ok.
Friday was rather eventful. I had class in the morning, and it was Geoff's birthday! It was also my brother's senior game so I was going to be ditching Geoff on his birthday. I had a good excuse though. Before I left to drive home I went over to his place so that I could see him for a little bit on his birthday :] We just kinda chilled at his apartment and watched his roommate play a video game. But it was fun :]
And then it was time for me to head home again. The drive was smooth, except for the 290/294 junction. That has the potential to be absolutely terrible - there's only one lane that switches between highways and that can get backed up pretty far. Recently it hasn't been bad at all, but Friday it was the worst I'd seen it in a good while. Other than that it was great, I got home when I wanted and I got to hang with my dad some more :] I gave him his birthday present too since I won't see him on his actual birthday.
Soon after I got home, Melissa arrived! And then was time for the game. But it was so cold! Melissa and I were shivering in our seats waiting for the senior presentations to begin. They honor the seniors of the football team, poms squad, cheerleaders and band so I was taking pictures of my borther and parents and various friends. I can't believe he's a senior O.o
Ugh, they lost too. That was unfortunate. But it was nice to get back home and into the warmth.
One thing, though, about that. I am super proud of my brother. He doesn't get to play all that much, but he was still standing on the sidelines at the line of scrimmage and watches every play, slapping guys on the back when they come off the field and helping people practice. It's also awesome to see how fired up he is in church and volunteering - he's a great kid. I really can't wait to see what he's got ahead of him.
Okay, that's enough big sister gushing :]
Saturday I was on the road again - wait, I feel like I just did this...
Oh yeah, because I did :]
I made it in time for the game, which was ugly from early on. In the second quarter it started raining, by halftime it was a steady pour. I had a green rain jacket that was left in the house, we didn't know whose it was so I snagged it. I saw inside the pocket yesterday, it's Kyle's. I texted him after the game, saying thanks for leaving it and that it was here if he wanted it back :]
Geoff and I went back to his apartment to get warm and put on some dry clothes :] We watched a bit of football before getting dinner with his mom and sister. That was fun, we moight have ganged up on him a bit ;] But it was nice to get to meet his family.
Back in his apartment, we watched The Men Who Stare at Goats - John (one of Geoff's roommates, the other's Joe) and I both think that movie is hilarious and Geoff hadn't seen it. The whole thing is one big Star Wars reference, hence the title of the post :D
And then it was time for Carly to go home and sleep, I was tired.
Today I had stadium cleanup in the morning - for Psi we help clean up Slayter as a fundraiser kind of thing. And after that I got to relax! I watched The Road to El Dorado - I love that movie :] It's so funny!
Between that and church, I watched some football. The Dallas-Baltimore game was a good game, I just wish they'd've shown the Eagles playing Detroit - Geoff's a Lions fan since his dad's in Detroit so I really wanted the Eagles to win. So of course they didn't.
I was a bit late to church because I wanted to see the ending of the Ravens game (They won - yay the Cowboys lost! :] ) and then I had the Eagles Gamecast on my computer. Once that game went to overtime, though, I decided that I needed to leave :]
There was an inordinate amount of dishes to be washed, so our COM meeting was a dish washing party :] We cranked them out, so that was good. Then it was time for chapter, and it was quite the long chapter meeting... We have to do a self-evaluation kinda thing so that took a chunk of time.
At least I've gotten to watch football after :D Though the game isn't as good as I thought - the Texans shot themselves in the foot and so the Packers seem to have run away with the game.
However, I'm not going to watch the end because I have class tomorrow.
Night!

Someday my prince will come.
It's been quite a week :]
Monday I woke up late so just threw on a sweatshirt and jeans for class, and then since we got 7 touchdowns against Marshall it was 35% off at University Bookstore :D And our air ducts were cleaned that day! That's exciting, they were looking pretty bad and we had no idea how long ago they'd been cleaned last...
Orchestra wasn't too bad, and after I got some more practice on tuba. It was a rather uneventful day, mostly because I was tired.
Tuesday we learned about volcanoes in lab, that was nifty :] I finished in time to run before my next class, and I'm glad I ran when I did - it was disgusting outside after Stat.
I chilled at Wesley to do some homework, but I mostly wound up making fun of Lisa ordering Jimmy Johns. She was on the struggle bus, but she also had an exam that night so we cut her a little slack.
After band I played some toobah - and I actually played a song! (read as: somehow busted out a few notes in a song...) That was exciting though :]
Wednesday was another narsty day. I had class and composites for Psi (like a large thing of pictures of all the actives in KKPsi and Tau Beta Sigma), so my hair went into a ponytail after that :] I did my Stat homework and wrote 'districat' instead of distribution at one point - I was singing Everybody Wants to Be a Cat at the time :] After orchestra I practiced a little more tuba for my GABS audition on Thursday, and I was hitting notes kinda on cue :D
Thursday I didn't have anything to do till 10.30 or so, and it was nice to be able to get up when it's already light outside :] And it was beautiful outside!
There was a housing fair that day, and I'm going to be in an apartment with Liz Irk (from Wesley) next year so we went there to get some ideas.
I went to my class, and then it was time for my audition. I hate auditions, I just had to play a B flat scale and I could play the scale five minutes before I went into Pam's office...
I went to the farmer's market between Elliott and Wesley, but they were out of pumpkin bread so I got some yummy banana bread.
We had exec, and then I had nothing to do until the house dinner so I did some sudokus. And after dinner, we had a fire in the fire pit outside :D That was nice, to be able to just relax with friends.
Friday was cold and narsty again, what happened to the beautiful day we had yesterday??
I went to my classes of the day, and then decided to redo my iPod - delete all the songs! I wasn't able to finish before work, so after I got back I finished that out.
Saturday I got to sleep in! I wasn't scheduled to work, so when Reed (one of my brothers) called me all confused about Slayter Sales I went to help her. Before the football game, the marching band has a concert called Thrill on the Hill that they play on Slayter Hill and Psi sells some shirts and things there. Neither Reed nor I had ever done Slayter sales before, so she didn't know where to get things set up so I went to help her and we got it worked out :]
The game was supposed to be good... Heh, 'supposed to' being the operative word. That was ugly, and it also got really cold. But after I got some pizza and watched more football with Geoff in his warm apartment, so that was nice :]
I was debating between driving home for a few days after the game, but I was cold and tired so I decided to sleep early and get up early to drive.
Sunday I was up at 7 and on the road at 7.40, so I got home at about 9a central time. That was nice, I got to spend the day chilling with my mom and dad :] We watched football and helped paint for my brother's Eagle project. And then it was time for more football - the Bears were playing so we watched that :] And they won!
We had a relaxing evening after that, it was pretty awesome :]
Today I watched Snow White before going to the mall with my mom, that was fun. We just kinds wandered around and got lunch and cheesecake :D
And now we're chilling at home for the evening, it's nice to be home and not worry about school :D
Later!

I'm tired, but that's kinda the story of my life right now...
That's been my response lately to people when they ask how I'm doing :]
Monday it was rather cold when I woke up. I went to my 3 classes (where I had a midterm in one and an essay in another O.o ) but then it wasn't too bad after, so I went for a run. After I ate this half a Luna bar and get some water since I hadn't actually had anything yet at that point...
And after my run my lungs hurt and my nose wasn't too happy, but it was nice :] I was feeling a bit off, though, so instead of studying for the other two exams I had coming up I watched Beauty and the Beast on the couch. I regret nothing :]
That evening was orchestra, not the most fun of rehearsals either, but then it was time for some football! And sleep! :D
Tuesday morning I had my EAS lab and Stat class, and then made a quick run to Walmart for The Avengers! :D I swapped shifts with a coworker - I worked that evening and she worked for me on Saturday morning so that I could spend time with my family before the football game :]
And I think I got the better end of the deal - work was a super easy reception for 20 people, which meant that I spent 2.5 of the 3 hours I was there studying for my Spanish test the next day.
We had a Psi rush event that evening, indoor games, and that meant I didn't get home till 9.30 and I was tired and still had to do work... So that was unfortunate.
Wednesday was my Spanish exam, and I don't think I did too poorly. It was disgusting outside so all I wanted to do was curl up with some tea and a good book on the couch. Two hours of studying later, I was slowly experiencing a nervous breakdown and needed to get the heck out of my room. That meant going for a run!
And it was a great run too! Albeit slightly wet... And while I was stretching I turned on Sports Center and saw the now infamous touchdown call at the end of the game. I was glad I didn't wind up watching all of Monday's game.
And it was time for my exam. This is the second time taking this stat class, so I'm kinda nervous about it and I was super stressed on Wednesday. I asked Geoff what he was doing around the time I would be done because I was anticipating just wanting a hug. He was there, and we wound up going back to his place and watching another Indiana Jones movie - it took me till I got back to Agate to remember I took an exam which meant I wasn't sitting and freaking out, so that was awesome :]
Thursday I didn't have any classes - when we have evening exams, the professors have to cancel a class to make up for it and since Stat is my only class on Thursdays, the evening exam meant I had nothing on Thursday :] I decided that it was a good day to clean my room, while watching The Avengers! I moved my sweatshirts and long sleeved shirts out of my trunk, and I made good progress :]
I had work again that afternoon, and then we had our house dinner. It was an uneventful evening, I just did laundry... :]
Friday I had class, and then got a rather cryptic text from Seth asking what my dinner plans were and if I wanted to go to Nine Irish with a 'special guest'. I spent pretty much my whole Spanish class wondering what the hell he was talking about - but then he told me that Kyle was here! :D He came down for a few days to go to the game. Before that dinner, though, I got a toobah lesson - and I was actually making notes! Which is more than I've ever been able to do on any other wind instrument so that was exciting :]
After that, it was time for Nine Irish with Kyle, Seth and Eric. That was fun to get to hang with those guys again :]
And the sousaphone (marching tuba) was slightly unwieldy and I couldn't actually lift my left arm above my shoulder because I hurt, so I asked Geoff if I could use a movie to bribe him into giving me a back massage. And it worked :] (though he did say that he'd've been willing to without the bribe, but that's beside the point :] )
Saturday I went to Lauren Trepanier's apartment to get a pancake breakfast with the band bible study people. It was kinda funny, we were talking about the music that the basketball pep band plays, and one person said something about how often they play Livin' on a Prayer. To which Lauren said something to the effect of 'Speaking of Living on a Prayer, how have you felt God in your lives recently?' The rest of us enjoyed that one :]
We were finished around 10 since a lot of them had to get ready for game day. My mom told me that they weren't planning to get here till around 1pm - which meant it was naptime for Carly! Catching up on some lost sleep from the week...
I got back up at 12.30, and then 45 minutes later they were here! We got some lunch, and then it was time for football! We are a football family :]
And we won the game! It was a later game, so we got some dinner and then they have to leave :[
But then it was time for the Doctor Who fall finale with Geoff and Seth. It was a very good episode, but it was a sad one :[
This morning I got up and went to Campus House, and then had a small lunch and went to the Fall Concert Band/Wind Ensemble concert over at the Long Center. It was kinda nice to just be an audience member - though the woman next to me annoyed me. During just about the whole last song, she was talking on her phone. She was talking softly, it's not like she was shouting, but still - have you never heard of concert etiquette?? I really couldn't believe that.
After that, I went to Wesley (where Mariah gave the sermon!) and COM meeting. Then it was chapter with a chaser at Greyhouse - I got some really good peppermint tea :D
And now I'm watching some Sunday Night Football - I can actually see the Eagles play! They've had all 1 or 4pm games so far (or the Colts have been on so we only get that game on tv) and that time generally is taken up by Wesley so this is kinda exciting :]
Fall Break is next week - yay! :D
Till then,

You know you're a Harry Potter nerd when the only real reason you switch to Chrome is Pottermore works better
Monday I woke up feeling sick, that wasn't really ideal... But getting moving and going to class helped and I was feeling better. Since we scored 8 touchdowns on Saturday, it was 40% off at University Bookstore! I wanted a long sleeved shirt and so got one (good thing I went at 10.30, I managed to get a large instead of multiple-xxl). I also saw a sweatshirt, I don't normally wear crew neck sweatshirts but this looked entirely too comfy for me not to have - and my total was just about $40 :D
Back at the house after classes I got to chat with melissa - we're both super excited about the Disney trip and planned out a few themed outfits to wear - check out http://disneybound.tumblr.com/ to see what kinds of things we were looking at :]
I worked on some Psi stuff, then accidentally fell asleep. Oops... :] I didn't really have anything to do until 8 so it was okay.
And at 8 I got dinner with Larn! It was good to get to talk with her again. And we were at Panera till like 9.30 so we got to chat for quite a bit :]
After that I watched some football and put on my new crew neck sweatshirt - it was so comfy!
And I got to talk with my mom :D So all in all it was quite a good day.
Tuesday I needed to run, but the best time for me was before class, alone, and in the dark. I really don't like running alone in the dark, but I survived! :]
Then it was time for my EAS lab exam - this is the first class I've ever had with a lab like this so I really didn't know what to expect. I did fairly well though, so that was nice :]
My intense sunburn was itching... and then it started hurting when I scratched at it. Stupid sun.
After Stat class, I had a registration appointment for next semester - I've been in school for four weeks (or so) and I can't even plan what to register for till October 8th, much less register (that doesn't some till late October). But I guess it works...
I had work that evening, a sound shift. Though I was struggling to figure out why I was scheduled at 4 when they wanted stuff set up at 2.30... I helped with service, though, so I still had something to do.
I was rather tired after that and had an exam the next morning so I was planning on getting to sleep early.
Until the effing fire alarm went off. And my day had been going so well... Everyone cursed out Payton for cooking, it seems to happen to him a lot :]
Forty five minutes later, it was still going off and Glen was over here trying to figure out why the hell it wasn't stopping. Eventually we just turned them all off so that it would shut up.Thankfully the house didn't spontaneously combust that night... :]
Wednesday when I woke up I did a double take at my computer weather thing. 38 degrees outside?? Gross.
My exam in EAS didn't go too badly, I felt pretty confident about it so that was nice. After the rest of my classes I decided to just chill in my room. I'm reading a book now called Born to Run, it's really interesting. So I read till orchestra, and after orchestra my family was going to get Orange Leaf, but we had to schedule around various workout plans, so I watched Indiana Jones with Geoff till everyone was ready :]
We got our Orange Leaf and family time, and then I needed to get some sleep - I had a busy day coming up.
Thursday I got up at 8.45 - sleeping in!
I finished my homework and went to the Farmer's Market - every Thursday it's on campus and I finally remembered to get out there. And I was rather excited - I got a loaf of pumpkin bread and some pretzel rolls, as well as some broccoli and green beans.
After my class, I got lunch with Lauren again :D That was fun.
I went to COM exec then, for maybe 10 minutes. I had work.
And then 7 hours later, I got home again O.o Bloody hell, did that just happen? At least there was another event there, I was able to do something. I was done at 10, I was so glad I didn't have anything due the next day...
Friday was my third day in a row of waking up late, that was annoying. I had class and then work again, only this time it was 6 hours and I was the only one on the second floor O.o That was less than fun.
However, after that I went bowling and to Starry Night with Geoff :] Starry Night is a festival that is held at Northwestern and State streets, however it was cold outside so we decided to watch The Hunt for Red October in the warmth.
Saturday I didn't have to wake up till 9.45 - woo :] I went for a run, yay good runs! It was nice.
Then I made a power grocery store trip - there and back in 30 minutes. That was fun :]
That day was our Psi Day of Service - since we're a band service fraternity and all :] We cleaned up Elliott and then I made myself some tomato soup with a pretzel roll, pumpkin bread and lemonade. It was quite the perfect lunch :D
It's kinda funny though - I didn't like pumpkin till about a year ago, I didn't even like the smell of it. Then, last year I tried a pumpkin cream cheese muffin and now I was super excited when I saw some at the farmer's market on Thursday. It was quite the turnaround :]
Then it was time for football! However, I fell asleep at some point so got a good nap :]
Then a group of people went to Nine Irish Brothers to celebrate Eric getting a new a new job. His current job is in a downward spiral and so it was pretty awesome that he got a new job close to here.
Then it was Doctor Who time! And then more football! I like Saturdays :]
Today I woke up at 10 - guess I'm not going to campus house today... (their service is at 9.30) And then the realisation set in that I've got 4 midterms in the next 3 days... O.o
So I'll watch some football! But there was only one game on one channel, so I did some studying.
This evening I went to Wesley and chapter, and then watched some football till Catherine got back. We've been wanting to watch Mirror Mirror together, and tonight she got it from redbox. While I was waiting, I looked up my final exam schedule and may or may not have died a little inside - 5 semesters and counting of bad schedules... Wednesday I have my two hard finals (vector calc and stat) back to back (10.30-12.30 and 1-3) and then Thursday afternoon is Spanish. Then, get this, EAS is on Saturday from 3.30-5.30pm. Gag me with a spork...
This means that I'll have great schedules for the next three semesters, right? It has to balance out at some point, right??
Then we watched Mirror Mirror, and I enjoyed it. However, I also think that I'm still a 6 year old girl at heart, so there's that... :D
And now I have a midterm tomorrow morning that I don't feel prepared for at all. Freakout mode in 3...2...1...
I can't wait for family day next weekend!
Till then,

I swear, there's something in the water...
Just a few notes to add Monday from my last post:
Dammit: http://www.hammerandrails.com/2012/9/10/3313466/robert-marve-injury-update-of-course-it-is-a-torn-acl. Seriously, we have more ACL tears here than anywhere else I've ever heard of!
We had a good rehearsal tonight, and I got a compliment of sorts from one of my brothers, Chris. He's a tuba and they were putting their sousaphones (marching tubas) away before our rehearsal started and he asked how I enjoyed the sports this weekend. I was slightly confused, wondering what he specifically meant, and he said that he knew I really liked sports and football and so was asking how I liked the NFL being back. I mean, I'm not exactly subtle about it (maybe about as subtle as a knife... :] ) but I thought it was kinda sweet that he remembered and thought to ask :] And then I may or may not have been roped into playing tuba in GABS - Gold And Black Sound, the women's basketball pep band. I have a few tuba friends and they said they were going to teach me so that I could play with them. This should be interesting...
After rehearsal I asked Andy about the concert in February. I thought it was on the weekend of the Disney Princess Half Marathon that the over-21 Poole ladies are going to be running, and that was troublesome.
-If you miss a concert, you fail the class.
-I'm not missing the race (yeah, that ain't happening), so I would just not enroll in the class and just play with the group.
-However, to be active in Psi you need to be enrolled in a Band class.
-This means I'd have to go conditional - I'd be a conditional member since I wouldn't be in a band class.
-But I want to take a little brother next spring (if it works out) and conditional members can't take littles.
-This presents a conundrum.
I was ready to plead my case to Andy, and I was willing to do just about anything to make up for the missed concert, but then he told me that it'll be the weekend before the half marathon! Huzzah! I was in a rather smiley mood after that :]
And then I got to fight with my Vector Calculus homework. I did pretty well, considering I missed a class last week (the one I slept through).
The Bengals v. Ravens game was on, so I watched that - it was supposed to be a pretty good game.
Or the Ravens could just destroy the Bengals, that would work too. Joe Flacco had a good game :]
Then the Raiders v. Chargers game came on and the intro showed shots of the seats. Raiders fans are so weird... I only watched one quarter of that game because it was time for me to sleep :]
Tuesday I had planned to be up at 6.30 to run, but then I woke up at 7.40... oops.
But it was definitely IR time - massive amounts of people on Memorial Mall, a ginormous effing tractor outside Weatherill Hall and about 2/3 of the student population was dressed in business formal attire. IR is Industrial Roundtable - a huge engineering-based career fair that takes place over 2 days.
I had class and then took a short nap before work, which was a fairly boring shift so at one point I was helping a coworker study her Japanese vocab.
When I got back to the house, I still had to finish homework so I joined Seth and Catherine in the common room and got that done.
Wednesday I had class in the morning, then randomly found a pretty good article about Walt Disney and how people keep saying he's a racist and anti-Semitic: http://backstagemagic.tumblr.com/post/26684569337
We had a good orchestra rehearsal, and then those of us that were playing joined the outdoor games runsh event for KKPsi and TBS (the band fraternity and sorority). We missed most of the actual outdoor games, but there were still people there so we got to talk with them.
Thursday I had to do some homework so I didn't have time to run in the morning - I decided to wait till after dinner. I had class and exec, and then went to get new running shoes! I knew that I was going to need new shoes before the half marathon in February and I wanted to make sure that they would be broken in before that time. I made it back in time for the house dinner, and after I sat on a couch downstairs for some reading and hanging with Mariah - it was fun :] I got a book on my kindle entitled How to Be Like Walt: Capturing the Disney Magic Every Day of Your Life - it's a mixture of a biography of Walt Disney and learning from his life and actions. I'm really enjoying it :]
Friday was quite a good day. I had class and a chapter services meeting for Psi first. Then I got a scarf - every semester or so there's a booth-thing that sells fair-trade things for a week. This past week it was outside Class of 1950 lecture hall, and on Monday I saw a cute black, brown and grey scarf that I wanted. Well, I then prceeded to forget to go and get it for about 4 days, so I was rather excited when it was still there on Friday :] And the PASE-mobile was right there too, so I got a free shirt for being a PASE member and answered some Purdue trivia and got a gift card to Puccini's. So that was pretty awesome :]
After my last class of the day, I debated about going to see Finding Nemo in 3d, but that meant that I'd actually have to go over to the theater. So staying in and reading How to Be Like Walt won :] It's very interesting, I'm learning all sorts of fun stuff. Like how Walt and Lillian Disney first met and all - the story of how he proposed is adorable :D
There were two girls that worked at the Disney company, Kathleen and Lillian. Normally Walt would give the two rides home, since he was just that kind of guy - didn't want to make them walk or have to ride a bus or something like that. Normally he would drop off Lillian first because that was just the best route. She said that when he started dropping off the other girl first, that was when she realised that he was interested. One evening, he asked her she would introduce him to her sister if he bought a suit (she was from Idaho, her sister lived in LA and Lillian was staying with her while working at Disney). He got the suit and met Lillian's sister and they all enjoyed it, she liked him and he liked her and everyone was happy. One day while driving around, Walt turned to Lillian and said 'You know, this Ford's getting pretty beat up. You're a practical girl, which should I buy - a new car or an engagement ring for your finger?' I was like 'Aww!' :D
I read from after class (around 1.30) till like 7.45 and planned on staying in all evening, however, Matt Damon and the Bourne Identity wound up being enough to tempt me out. Oh, and hanging with Geoff too ;D
Saturday I had work at 5.30 O.o And while there I inadvertently did the splits - ouch. I just kinda went down and stayed down for a moment. Casey asked if I was ok, I said I was but I just needed to not move for a few seconds... That was fun...
Then it was a football game! Woo! And we won too :] Unfortunately, it also meant that football game burns are back... Last game it was dark and late enough that I didn't get burned, but for noon games the sun is to my left in the student section, so the left side of my face and neck got burned. Blast.
After the game I went to Chipotle to get some foods, and after that Geoff came over so I had a good afternoon :]
Then it was time for Doctor Who! It was a party: me, Geoff, Seth, Catherine and Mario were all there.
And my hips were still hurting from doing the splits that morning... that was annoying.
Today I wokke up in time to go to the 9.30 Campus House service (and I wasn't expecting to wake up till 9.30 or so, that was surprising. It was a good service, and meant that I had time to go for a run after. As I was stretching and icing I put the tv on a football channel, but then accidentally took an hour nap. Heh, didn't mean for that one to happen...
I did sound at Wesley, so once the band was done rehearsing it turned into me and Jason fighting against time and the Wesley computer. Dale wasn't there, so we had to run the powerpoint that shows song lyrics and scripture to people. That was fun, but we actually got it up before they sang more than one verse of the first song, so we made it! :]
After Wesley was chapter, and after chapter was an Insomnia cookie run :]
It wasn't quite sleepy time for me, so I decided to watch a Disney movie! I was going to watch Beauty and the Beast in my room, but Seth and Mariah also wanted to watch a movie so Seth, Mariah, David, Christian and I all wound up watching The Little Mermaid (for the record, David and Seth are the ones that chose that one, not me or Mariah :P ). That was fun, but now it is sleepy time and I have class tomorrow morning so I shall say good night. Later!

Go back to Foot Locker!
Sorry for the late post, I was hella tired last night.
So last Monday was Labor day, only I forgot when I woke up at 7.45 (I normally get up at 6.30 and leave the house at 8). I remembered before I got out of bed, though, I got to sleep in till 9.30 :]
I went for a run, but then in the shower afterwards my shamrock necklace broke :[ It's one of the things I wear all the time, so I kept trying to play with it but it wasn't there. Catherine had an extra necklace chain that she said I could have though, so now I have it on again :]
Pretty much all afternoon I had a Disney homework marathon with Catherine. That was pretty fun, we just kinda watched movies and chatted while working on stuff.
Tuesday we had an earthquake lab in EAS. There was one section where we got to see where earthquakes have occurred worldwide since 1960 - look at all those that occurred in California! And people wonder how I don't wake up when there's an earthquake out here... That was a fun lab :]
After Stat, I looked at the weather. 85, feels like 92 - it's a toasty one.
I worked on some homework and then decided to take an hour nap. Then when I woke up three hours later, I was somehow still tired. And had to work on homework again. I already couldn't wait for the weekend, and it was only Tueday...
And it only got better on Wednesday morning. I had a rather difficult time waking up, then felt like crap all through my EAS lecture. I decided to skip vector calc class to sleep - othersise I probably would've passed out in the middle of class. I went to Wesley and took an hour and a half nap on a couch and felt exponentially better, so that was nice.
After my last class (Spanish, in case you were curious) I got back to the house and had a package from my mommy! As I walked up to my room, I thought it might be cookies, but then I opened it and it definitely wasn't - it was a box o' random goodies - including trail mix and The Proposal :D
And again after orchestra I had a headache and realised that I hadn't actually eaten dinner - heh, that night've helped...
Thursday I woke up at 8 - sleeping in! :]
I went for a run and then to my one class of the day - which is quite nice, I might add :] We had a Wesley exec meeting, then it was time for the house dinner. You might be able to tell, I didn't really do all that much on Thursday :]
Friday my football weekend began! I woke up to a text from Nicole asking where to start watching Doctor Who, to which I sent back a 5 page response, heh... :]
Quickly after my classes (it was supposed to storm later on), I started the drive home and Geoff joined me - it was turning into quite the good weekend already :]
And I'm rather glad we drove when we did - storms were projected to hit northwestern Indiana as we watched the news from home.
Geoff, me and my parents drove out to Buffalo Grove to watch Ricky's footballl game - and it was a bit chilly, the wind wasn't helping matters at all. And they were so close! There were a number of opportunities that they just couldn't capitalise on. There was one time when the refs made a pretty bad call (more often than not, at those games) and my dad yelled 'Go back to Foot Locker!' at them, the Hoffman student section was laughing and some of the Hoffman players appreciated it too. And Geoff understood where my football enthusiasm comes from, seeing my parents yelling too :]
Saturday my dad checked on some things in my car - I'm glad he thinks of these things since I never do :]
Then it was time for some football! We watched the Virginia Tech game on a laptop while the Penn State game was on tv, but then it was time for Purdue v. Notre Dame. It started out rather promising, but we still lost. And Marve got hurt (hoping to God that it's not another ACL issue). Blast.
That evening, Geoff and I watched Doctor Who and enjoyed that :] Then it was time to sleep.
Sunday morning was mostly getting ready for the party, my parents host a cookout for the first Bears home game of the season. That was one of the main reasons for me going home this weekend, as well as getting to see my dad again :]
It was also fun to see the various people that were there again. And yay football! The first Bears drive was scary, but they got better :]
I didn't want to get my Bears shirt out of my trunk (there's a ton of stuff on top of it right now) so I wore an Eagles shirt on Sunday, I'm just the black sheep in all of my families :] (I'm the non-band player in my Psi family.)
Geoff and I wanted to make it back to WLaf in time for chapter, so we left at the beginning of the fourth quarter to drive back down. And then after chapter I had to do some homework - I always say that I'm going to do homework at home but it never actually happens...
But there was more football on! I like Payton Manning, so it was nice to see him doing well on the Broncos after being out all last season.
Then today I really really didn't want to get up... >.< I did manage though, and went to classes this morning. This afternoon I've mostly just relaxed and read, and I talked with Seth for a bit - I haven't seen him in a bit. I've got orchestra in 2 hours, then I'll probably work on more homework while watching some Monday Night Football. This week should be interesting, I'm already low on sleep. Is it the weekend yet?? :]
Till then,

They cuss a lot.
Monday was nice - I had a pretty productive day and it was only 1.30 when I got back to the house. I needed some homework help so I went to a teacher's office hours, then got a work locker (so now I don't have to haul everything around with me anymore, it's quite nice :] ) and bought my American Idiot tickets (I'm so excited!) and finally I printed off some things, like my football tickets and vocab for my Spanish class. But then, later in the afternoon, productivity slightly diminished... Yay reading!
After orchestra I did some more reading and watched Top Gear (a British car show) with Seth and Payton. That was hilarious, they did one episode where they had to build their own motor home and at the end two of the three hosts acidentally pushed the third's off a cliff - intending to freak him out by pushing it up to the edge, it started rolling and they couldn't stop it. We were cracking up :] Unfortunately, after that my jean shorts got caught on my door and ripped up the side, so they're shot - looks like I'm going to be wearing skirts till I can get to a store...
Tuesday went something like this:
+class

+read
+oh, I should prob do some homework too... while watching the Lion King! To Which I proceeded to quote the whole movie by heart as I'm only half-watching it. Heh, you'd think I've seen the movie a few times or something...
Wednesday I had class in the morning and then lunch with one of my brothers, Lauren Trepanier :] That was fun, I hadn't seen her since last semester. I wanted to continue my homework with a movie pattern, but trying to watch Beauty and the Beast doesn't work so well when it's a digital book... Blast. I made it work tho - just write the problems on a separate paper :]
In orchestra we had the whole orchestra there - it was so nice to hear what the music actually sounds like! It was weird with just strings. And after that I went to Geoff's apartment and we watched Fringe with his roommates. That was fun, it's an interesting show.
Thursday I was all excited to be able to sleep till 9 - I didn't have class till noon. Then the amoke alarm went off at 7.45 - well I guess that's as good a time as any to get up...
That meant that I got to get a run in and go to Target so I'd actually have jean shorts again - yay :]
After class, I went to Wesley and read in a hammock again while waiting for exec to start :D We've had some beautiful days recently.
When I got back to the house after exec, I came onto the blog site to make notes of what happened and noticed that I've got over 1000 page views - crazy.
We had our house dinner, and then I called and got to chat with Melissa :D That was fun, I haven't talked to her in a while.
Friday morning was a little full, I had class and a KKPsi chapter services meeting, then one more class before I could get some food :] And ice cream :D
I had a gift card to FYE, a movie/music/pop culture store and I looked in the Disney section and found The Little Mermaid!!! I've been wanting this one for so long!! And I don't have to wait for it to come out of the vault when it's in 3D! I was rather excited :] That called for mini-marthon - I watched The Little Mermaid and The Aristocats - yay Disney movies :D
And then I got to talk with my mom and dad :D I can't wait to see them next weekend.
A few people from Wesley were going to the soccer match that night so I joined them - and we won! That was fun :]
When I got back to the house, the last episode of Doctor Who season 5 was on so I watched that with Seth and then was rather tired and so went to sleep.
Saturday = game day! Yay football! I saw this funny article on ESPN - http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/56433/best-caseworst-case-purdue - the best case one is pretty funny, unfortunately the worst case one is all too easy to see... (As a side note, the guy was only 3 points off in the prediction of the first game score :] )
Before the game, I had a shift and we served the football team lunch - goodness they ate a lot. We were running around to try and keep the buffett line filled.
And then it was time for some football! I was so excited :D And it didn't monsoon, instead it was a bit toasty. But we won! so that was nice :]
After the game, Geoff came over to the house to get some food and watch the Doctor Who season 7 premier :D Seth was there, so it was a party. We were only missing Catherine and Mario - they were seeing American Idiot that night. Geoff doesn't get BBC America in university housing, so I think I might see this becoming a pattern... (Except next weekend since I'll be home.)
One kinda funny thing about watching with 2 guys was when a serious part happened in the episode - two characters had a pretty frank conversation about their relationship and the girl said she was giving up the guy because she can't have kids and knows he really wants them - Seth and Geoff didn't understand why that meant she was breaking up with him, I said it made sense and they just weren't paying attention.
And after the episode, football was on! Michigan was getting schlapped by Bama so we watched Clemson v. Auburn - that was a slightly more interesting game.
This morning, I got up and went to Campus House with Lauren T, she goes there and I wanted to check it out. It was a good service, but when we went there it wasn't raining and when we left it was. Oops.
But that meant it was perfect weather for potato soup! I made some (read as: fighting with the ziploc bag and my bowl...) and enjoyed the warmth and reading before going to Wesley. I was supposed to work the sound board for the band, but there wasn't a band. In fact, when I got to the building there was no one there, so I took an hour and a half nap on a couch. And then Shilpa, who was going to be playing the piano for the hymns, is sick today so Dale and I found background music for the hymns and played that through the computer - my playing with the soundboard mostly involved hitting mute once we wanted the music to stop since it was on a loop.
After dinner, it was time for me to see American Idiot!! I was so excited, I've been a Green Day fan for almost as long as I can remember. And I really enjoyed the show, not just the music either (though I had to make a conscious effort not to sing along with the songs - I wanted to). I think I was one of the few people sitting around me that understood what was going on - during inttermission I heard a lot of people saying how they really didn't know what was going on. I also heard a woman say 'They cuss a lot' and I really wanted to say something along the lines of 'Have you ever listened to Green Day songs before?' They don't swear like every other word, but they're in there and the themes are pretty strong. Of course, the woman also asked whether it was based on the band (it's really not) so I'm not sure how informed she was going in.
Elliott was like an ice box - I was so cold! And driving back I really wanted to listen to the musics so that's what I'm doing right now :] Thank goodness tomorrow's Labor Day, it'll be nice to have a more relaxing day after the weekend I've had. It's been an amazing weekend, just busy.
Peace.

Peace.

Good vendor of shoes!
So I was watching this http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=T2amZSYjt6Q#t=2170s and cracked up at this part, till about 37.40 or so (it starts at 36.10). That's where the title comes from :]
On Monday classes started - crazy. And I could understand all of my professors so that was a definite bonus :D
The annoying thing was online last week it said that there was no info recieved for the MA362 book. However, when I checked after my professor said there was a book, the info was there. I was annoyed.
But then was orchestra - and there were so many basses! I'm playing bass this semester, and normally we have about two, maybe three, but there are 5 of us in symphony and evidently philharmonic has 7. We were laughing about that :]
Tuesday in my 3 hour EAS lab slot we had a 1 hour lab, so that was nice. I got to eat my lunch before my STAT class and not rush. When my TA wrote her office location on the board, I was confused - it was HAMP and I wondered what the heck building that was. Evidently they renamed the Civil Engineering Building (formerly CIVL) to the Hampton building for civil engineering (or something similar). I'm glad my schedule said CIVL still, I would've had no idea where the deuce I was supposed to go.
And I'm retaking the STAT416 class I took last semester with a different teacher so hopefully this time around it goes better. So far so good.
My run was warm - it was a bit toasty outside. But then I got to have dinner and watch Pirates with Colleen so that was fun :D I miss not living with her, she's a great friend.
Wednesday I had class and then The Aristocats is out of the vault so I made a quick trip to Walmart for that - I love that movie :] I also got a haircut so my hair's back to the length I like it.
After orchestra there was a Welcome Back Bash thing for the bands so I went to see some of my brothers that I hadn't seen all summer. That was fun, but oh my goodness there were so many mosquitos! O.o Because of that, when I woke up on Thursday it looked like I had chicken pox on my legs (it still does on Sunday >.< ) However I only had one class that day so that was nice :D After that I went to Wesley to read in a hammock :] However, I finished Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and didn't know what next, I narrowed it down to Star Wars and decided to ask 'Kyle, do I want to read Thrawn or Xwing?' He said Xwing, so I'm going through those books now :]
We had our first COM exec meeting, and it went well. This semester should be good.
Unfortunately (that might not be the best word to use, but oh well) Kyle got a call and a job offer that afternoon, so now he's moving out again :[ It's good for him, and he'll be around, but a bunch of people (myself included) were excited about having him around for more time.
I went back to Agate and did some more reading, taking a break to have the house dinner.
Friday I'd planned on going to class and then going to see the Dark Knight Rises and having a movie afternoon/night. However, Instead I had some food and read an hour or so, then I had to start on homework.
Then, about 5 hours later, I said eff this, I want to stargaze! sO I drove out to the Robyne's and enjoyed the night sky with Geoff. That was nice :]
I don't remember walking into a tree Friday night, but Saturday morning I woke up with a scab on my chin - I'm all kinds of confused since I don't know how it happened. Kyle suggested that I slepwalked into my door, I said I walk into enough open doors that I'd believe it :]
I had work that evening, and it was two weddings. One of the weddings had a rather interesting toast - it wasn't the mother of the bride, but it might've been an aunt or something. She was slurring a bit (the bar had been open for an hour...) and recounted stories about the bride when she was younger, the quirky things she would do. Then she said something along the lines of 'I didn't think there would be anyone who could deal with you!' and continued. However, I missed the second half because I was still just processing what she'd just said. I'm sure she meant it to be funny, like the bride is unique and all, but it didn't quite come across like that. I texted my mom and dad asking them not to say something like that at my wedding... :]
Today I really did not want to wake up. I did mae it though, since I had work at 10.30. Then after that shift we had a staff meeting and then I had church and then was the COM meeting (which was remarkably efficient and good for a COM meeting) and after that I went to chapter and then after chapter a bunch of us went to Red Mango, so I left the house at 10 this morning and got back around 9.45 this evening. So now I plan on either reading or watching an episode of QI and passing out.
Football next week, I'm so excited!!! :D And Doctor Who series 7 starts next Saturday, so I need to remember to get my American Idiot ticket for Sunday. Next weekend's gonna be a good weekend :D
Peace out.

Farewell to a fellow Boilermaker and Brother, one of the most influential men of our lifetimes. RIP Mr Armstrong.

I'm baack :D
Hello again, everyone :D I hope y'all had a good summer, as you can tell by my lack of posts, I didn't so all that much. It was fun though.
So on Monday I felt rather producive. I went to pick up my textbooks and PASE thing - PASE is Purdue Alumni Student Experience and I get a shirt, glass and discounts at places because I'm a member. This year's shirt and glass have the Grand Prix on them - last year it was the Big Bass Drum and my freshman year featured the Old Oaken bucket, the trophy exchanged between us and IU to the winner of our rivalry game every year.
After my various errands, I set about to clean my room (or straighten it up anyways). And that was a success too! I had a rather good day, overall :]
Then it was time for our house dinner - and it's official that the ducts are actually going to be cleaned! Las t winter I had a case of the nosebleeds and I blame the air, so I'm rather excited that it most likely won;t happen again this winter :] And we learned that Kyle Hoos will most likely be back here for the semester :D I'm rather excited, he's a great guyh and fun to have in the house.
On Tuesday I went out for my run, then Shelly was going to run so I went out again with her. And about a quarter mile away from the house while running back, my legs suddenly really wanted to know what the hell I was thinking. I'm glad they didn't argue till the ending of the run, rather than the beginning :]
After that, I did nothing! I was messing around on my computer when I learned that David Tennant was on an episode of QI - how have I never seen this before?? I immediately watched that one, and it was pretty dang funny :] I love QI, it's one of my favourite shows, so it's unfortunate that I can't watch it on tv here - I have to rely on youtube.
Wednesday I had work at 6.30a so I was up at 5.25 - and I'm not sure I slept the best, I had a strange dream (that I couldn't remember once I woke up, just that it was odd). Work went well, and when I got back I got to sleep :D And then I watched some more British television - watching the one episode of QI yesterday got me in the mood so I watched some more :]
Thursday I really did nothing all morning, but then I had a sound shift at 4. Over the summer I was trained to be a sound technician, and I think we're short sound people because the last 10 or so shifts I've been scheduled for have been sound. I did pick up a normal catering shift for yesterday, and that felt weird :]
Friday I had another sound shift - only this one was for both ballrooms and their events were running pretty much simultaneously. That was super fun (more like eff my life). One group was a multicultural welcome event, and the other was a IU School of Medicine welcome thing (they have a campus in the area). The IU people were, how shall I say it, snooty. Whitch ticked me off. The multicultural group was great, it was fun listening to their speakers. But then they started a drumming thing and dancing, while the IU thing was still going and evidently the IU people weren't happy. Courtney, the coordinator, Casey, another sound person/waiter captain, and I were all having just so much fun with them.
When I got back to A-gate, Kyle was here! It's official - he'a a part time Wesley intern for the semester while he continues the job search. However, due to the lovely time I had at work I wasn't in the best of moods, so I fled to my room. And watched some QI - Stephen Fry can fix my mood! :] (Don't jusge me, it worked :P )
Saturday We were all up early for the Aldersgate retreat - through the morning we talked and got to know one another, as well as made decisions about the house and various rules. When we introduced ourselves around the circle, I said that something I was looking forward to was watching football with Kyle again - I'm sure y'all remember how interesting some of those stories were :D
I had another 2-ballroom sound shift, but they were two weddings which was easy peasy - I just set up 2 wireless microphones and made sure that it sounded good when people were talking into them.
After that, I went to a drumline party with Geoff. That was interesting, it was a pretty small apartment so half of the party was outside. And that makes it three college parties I've ever been to - woo! I'm on a roll :D
Sunday I had to open my violin for the first time since it had been sitting in my un-airconditioned room all summer. I'd put it off as long as possible because I was legitimately scared of what I would find, like I was afraid that my violin would be in pieces.
Thankfully, it wasn't. The bow lost a bit of hair (and by a bit, I mean like half) so that will have to be replaced earlier than anticipated, but that's really not as bad as I'd been fearing. (I have a picture up on facebook if you want to see it).
I had yet another sound shift, and this one was extra boring. I just set up a mic and background music and then turned down the music when someone was speaking and turned it back up when no one was.
Woot O.o
Wesley had our first service of the year yesterday - yay :D I played violin with Amanda during the hymn (which is why I had to open it yesterday and couldn't wait three more months :] )
And I officially have the best Big ever :D Larn sent a message to me, Brent, Billy and Jason (the ones of the family that start classes today) that she had a present for us. Since we were the four that are still in school, I thought it would be a fun notebook or something similar.
Then we went to her apartment and saw these things, and it was so much better than what I'd thought :D I love my Big :] Apparently she Googled 'candy poem', which I thought was a pretty sweet search term, it made me giggle :]
I got back to Agate and after a bit of QI it was sleepy time for Carly - I've got class starting at 8.30 today.
And away we go...
