They cuss a lot.

Monday was nice - I had a pretty productive day and it was only 1.30 when I got back to the house. I needed some homework help so I went to a teacher's office hours, then got a work locker (so now I don't have to haul everything around with me anymore, it's quite nice :] ) and bought my American Idiot tickets (I'm so excited!) and finally I printed off some things, like my football tickets and vocab for my Spanish class. But then, later in the afternoon, productivity slightly diminished... Yay reading!
After orchestra I did some more reading and watched Top Gear (a British car show) with Seth and Payton. That was hilarious, they did one episode where they had to build their own motor home and at the end two of the three hosts acidentally pushed the third's off a cliff - intending to freak him out by pushing it up to the edge, it started rolling and they couldn't stop it. We were cracking up :] Unfortunately, after that my jean shorts got caught on my door and ripped up the side, so they're shot - looks like I'm going to be wearing skirts till I can get to a store...
Tuesday went something like this:
+class
+read
+class
+read
+work
+read
+oh, I should prob do some homework too... while watching the Lion King! To Which I proceeded to quote the whole movie by heart as I'm only half-watching it. Heh, you'd think I've seen the movie a few times or something...
Wednesday I had class in the morning and then lunch with one of my brothers, Lauren Trepanier :] That was fun, I hadn't seen her since last semester. I wanted to continue my homework with a movie pattern, but trying to watch Beauty and the Beast doesn't work so well when it's a digital book... Blast. I made it work tho - just write the problems on a separate paper :]
In orchestra we had the whole orchestra there - it was so nice to hear what the music actually sounds like! It was weird with just strings. And after that I went to Geoff's apartment and we watched Fringe with his roommates. That was fun, it's an interesting show.
Thursday I was all excited to be able to sleep till 9 - I didn't have class till noon. Then the amoke alarm went off at 7.45 - well I guess that's as good a time as any to get up...
That meant that I got to get a run in and go to Target so I'd actually have jean shorts again - yay :]
After class, I went to Wesley and read in a hammock again while waiting for exec to start :D We've had some beautiful days recently.
When I got back to the house after exec, I came onto the blog site to make notes of what happened and noticed that I've got over 1000 page views - crazy.
We had our house dinner, and then I called and got to chat with Melissa :D That was fun, I haven't talked to her in a while.
Friday morning was a little full, I had class and a KKPsi chapter services meeting, then one more class before I could get some food :] And ice cream :D
I had a gift card to FYE, a movie/music/pop culture store and I looked in the Disney section and found The Little Mermaid!!! I've been wanting this one for so long!! And I don't have to wait for it to come out of the vault when it's in 3D! I was rather excited :] That called for mini-marthon - I watched The Little Mermaid and The Aristocats - yay Disney movies :D
And then I got to talk with my mom and dad :D I can't wait to see them next weekend.
A few people from Wesley were going to the soccer match that night so I joined them - and we won! That was fun :]
When I got back to the house, the last episode of Doctor Who season 5 was on so I watched that with Seth and then was rather tired and so went to sleep.
Saturday = game day! Yay football! I saw this funny article on ESPN - http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/56433/best-caseworst-case-purdue - the best case one is pretty funny, unfortunately the worst case one is all too easy to see... (As a side note, the guy was only 3 points off in the prediction of the first game score :] )
Before the game, I had a shift and we served the football team lunch - goodness they ate a lot. We were running around to try and keep the buffett line filled.
And then it was time for some football! I was so excited :D And it didn't monsoon, instead it was a bit toasty. But we won! so that was nice :]
After the game, Geoff came over to the house to get some food and watch the Doctor Who season 7 premier :D Seth was there, so it was a party. We were only missing Catherine and Mario - they were seeing American Idiot that night. Geoff doesn't get BBC America in university housing, so I think I might see this becoming a pattern... (Except next weekend since I'll be home.)
One kinda funny thing about watching with 2 guys was when a serious part happened in the episode - two characters had a pretty frank conversation about their relationship and the girl said she was giving up the guy because she can't have kids and knows he really wants them - Seth and Geoff didn't understand why that meant she was breaking up with him, I said it made sense and they just weren't paying attention.
And after the episode, football was on! Michigan was getting schlapped by Bama so we watched Clemson v. Auburn - that was a slightly more interesting game.
This morning, I got up and went to Campus House with Lauren T, she goes there and I wanted to check it out. It was a good service, but when we went there it wasn't raining and when we left it was. Oops.
But that meant it was perfect weather for potato soup! I made some (read as: fighting with the ziploc bag and my bowl...) and enjoyed the warmth and reading before going to Wesley. I was supposed to work the sound board for the band, but there wasn't a band. In fact, when I got to the building there was no one there, so I took an hour and a half nap on a couch. And then Shilpa, who was going to be playing the piano for the hymns, is sick today so Dale and I found background music for the hymns and played that through the computer - my playing with the soundboard mostly involved hitting mute once we wanted the music to stop since it was on a loop.
After dinner, it was time for me to see American Idiot!! I was so excited, I've been a Green Day fan for almost as long as I can remember. And I really enjoyed the show, not just the music either (though I had to make a conscious effort not to sing along with the songs - I wanted to). I think I was one of the few people sitting around me that understood what was going on - during inttermission I heard a lot of people saying how they really didn't know what was going on. I also heard a woman say 'They cuss a lot' and I really wanted to say something along the lines of 'Have you ever listened to Green Day songs before?' They don't swear like every other word, but they're in there and the themes are pretty strong. Of course, the woman also asked whether it was based on the band (it's really not) so I'm not sure how informed she was going in.
Elliott was like an ice box - I was so cold! And driving back I really wanted to listen to the musics so that's what I'm doing right now :] Thank goodness tomorrow's Labor Day, it'll be nice to have a more relaxing day after the weekend I've had. It's been an amazing weekend, just busy.
Peace.
