What a week.
Monday I had classes and then Liz and I got our lease signed - we both like having the certainty that brings. After that I had to start packing, so of course I get an email about the New Fantasyland at Disney World. And when I went to the site, there was a story that goes along with it all! I was thoroughly distracted. I'm such a six year old girl :]
And after that I realized that I didn't have work for over a week, so I could paint my nails! It's the little things in life :] (We can't have painted nails at work because if the polish were to chip into food that would be all kinds of terrible.)
I had orchestra that evening, and the basses actually got out early! What's been happening recently is the violins leave first because they don't play on some songs, then violas and finally the celloes and basses go. So I got to watch more of the Monday Night Countdown before Da Bears played.
And by halftime, I was playing Kingdom Hearts instead - that was an ugly game.
Tuesday I finished packing and made pancakes for brunch with Geoff, then I was off!
The drive wasn't too bad, there was one point where the traffic was getting slow, but I was hungry so I got some fries from Arby's and when I got back on the road it was smooth going.
And once I got home, I got to chill with my family! We watched some tv, including a geeky Castle episode - which was amazing :D It was so funny.
Wednesday I helped clean up around the house, and then half of the Bogdas arrived! My mom and I went to pick up our Turkey Trot race packets and get some running gear from Dick Pond's with Aunt Kelly and McKayla joining us and then bring dinner home, and at last Melissa and Uncle Mark got there (Kristin couldn't join us :[ )
Thursday it was Thanksgiving! I went for a short run with my mom and we started making food. We ate dinner around 3, and that's always a good time when my family gets together :]
After dinner it was time to figure out what we're doing with Black Friday. A few stores had good deals that we wanted to take advantage of and opened that evening, so we went out with the crazies. That was an experience. We went to Target, HHGregg and Kohl's, going to sleep quickly when we got back :]
Friday we left the house around 10 - that was nice. We normally leave around 7am.
We went to Game Stop and then the mall. Where we got our peppermint bark cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory! After eating that it was officially Christmas Time :D
However, it was a bit insane there, and by a bit I mean a LOT. We finished what we wanted to look at and got the heck out of there.
We were home by 4, that was nice too :] Then it was nap time for everyone!
After all the girls took a nap, we had some family time watching Brave. We're such a Disney family :]
Saturday morning my mom and I were out in the cold running the Turkey Trot. It was so cold! And it took them 20 ish minutes after when they said it would start to actually start the race, so we were all standing there freezing.
But after that, it was time for football! And Purdue won! IU sucks! :] And Virginia Tech won! It was a good afternoon for football.
Uncle Mark and McKayla had to leave that afternoon, so the rest of the girls did some more shopping that evening before watching more football. Unfortunately, the evening brought another Notre Dame win, so the day wasn't quite perfect for football.
Today my mom, dad and brother went to the Bears game so it was just me, Melissa and Aunt Kelly at the house in the morning. We all had to get on the 290, so we went to lunch together and started our respective drives back. Mine was annoying as all get out - there were two spots where it was gridlocked traffic. During the first one, I was listening to the Bears game on the Milwaukee radio station (in Merrillville, IN - odd...) and when I got to the front of the jam there was one car pulled over to change a tire - not even a police car or anything.
During the second jam, I was listening to Christmas music and there was nothing at the front - suddenly everyone around me was moving again. That was even more annoying.
But I made it back. I unpacked and put up my few Christmas decorations for my room, then decided to write a petition to be treasurer for chapter. I added a few things at the chapter meeting, and just sent it out. Here goes.
And now I'm watching the Giants beat up the Packers and wondering what the heck is on Aaron Rogers's face... It's an interesting look...
This week I've got a few exams, so it's back to that. I want it to be Christmas break already...
Later!

You know you're related to an NFL official when:
Faced with the unfortunate choice between Green Bay v. Detroit (as a Bears fan), or Cleveland v. Dallas (as an Eagles fan), you choose the Dallas game because Ed Hochuli is the referee.
That happened to me today, actually.
However, on Tuesday I had a full day, but it was a fun full day. It started off with an EAS lab field trip to Happy Hollow. It was so cold! But it was kinda fun to get out and about. Then I had stat, and then my dad was here! He was driving from Indy to Chicago so he stopped off and we got lunch. When he left, I had a little bit of time where I read and finally started to warm up before Liz and I had an apartment viewing. It was at Nichols Apartments, and we both liked it. We're planned to see a few more on Friday.
I had dinner with Mariah and Stephanie, and then a Psi chapter field representative was visiting us - like she came here to see what we're doing and if she could suggest any improvements or anything - so we had a special chapter meeting with her.
So yeah, busy, but fun :D
Wednesday I had class in the morning, and then I read and watched Halo all afternoon, that was quite nice :D I had to do laundry too, so I got that done. I had orchestra that evening, then got to hang with Geoff after.
Thursday I had class and exec, then went for a run. We had house dinner, and I had a Spanish essay due the next day so I worked on that.
Friday I went to my classes and then read at Wesley before apartment viewing with Liz. I was reading Outlander, a book that my mom and I both love, and I finished it with about 2 hours till the appointment so I went to the house to get Dragonfly in Amber (the next book in the series) and went back to Wesley to read some more :]
The first set of apartments that we viewed were nice but kinda meh, and they were a bit pricier. We had a bit of time before the next appointment so we chilled at Agate.
The next apartments we viewed were Cochran, and they were nice and we liked them too. So we sat down and compared between Nichols and Cochran. It was small things that decided it - like Cochran is down a hill from campus and we'd have to cross River Road while Nichols is on South Chauncey and so we wouldn't have to walk up a hill first thing as we go to class.
So Nichols it is! We weren't sure what we need to sign a lease, so we planned to go before I leave for Thanksgiving.
I watched some Halo and ate my dinner, and then went over to Geoff's to watch more Halo and a cheesy 80's Clint Eastwood and Firefly with Geoff and his roomies. It was a fun evening.
Saturday I got to sleep in :D and I didn't have anything really going on so I got to chill and go on a run before going to work. And it was a sound shift, which meant that I got to hide in the sound booth - good thing there was paper so I could write. After that I watched some more Firefly with Geoff :]
Today I slept in again - I can get used to this sleeping till 9.30 thing.. Too bad I have class tomorrow.
The only football games that were on were the two mentioned above (Cleveland/Dallas and Green Bay/Detroit) - gag me with a spork. I just had the one on and did some reading before the WOW dinner. Our theme was Super Mario - that was fun :] I didn't really want to dress up like a character, though, so I just helped make the food.
After that was chapter, and now I'm kinda worn out but I don't know why since I didn't really do anything this weekend. Oh well, I get to go home on Tuesday! I can't wait :]

SAG Wagon-ing
I seem to not be doing so well at the whole writing this on Sunday evenings thing... Sorry about that.
So Tuesday I managed to avoid most of the ungodly amounts of politics that were going on, so that was nice :] I went to my lab and my stat class, then I had work. After work, I was so excited about the election that I was planning on watching a Disney movie in my room until I heard Seth had gotten Halo 4, instead I watched him play that until I went to sleep. I knew someone would put it on facebook so I'd just figure it out later :]
Which meant that Wednesday people were going crazy about the election and results, I just had an 'ok, people, calm down' attitude all day.
I had my vector calc exam, so that was less than fun. And then I didn't know what to do with myself, I was just completely fried. After three weeks of constant stress, It's actually kinda nice to be out from under that blanket. I relaxed in the afternoon and after orchestra I watched Jurassic Park with Geoff. (That's actually only the second time I've seen that movie, the first time was last year. People tend to be rather surprised when they find out how many classics I'v never actually seen.)
Thursday I had a relaxing morning, which was nice. After class and food and exec, I went for a run. And I ran 3.25 miles in 32.21 min - that's about exactly 10 min pace. I'm in better shape than I thought! :]
Our house dinner was that evening, where a wild Kyle appeared! He came out to help with Winterization and it was nice to have him in the house again for the weekend :] Afterwards I did some apartment comparing with Liz - we want to get a lease signed pretty soon since we both like having the certainty of knowing where we're going to live next year :]
Friday when I got back from class I had a package from my mom! It was mostly Mary Kay stuff, so like facial cleanser, but it was still a package from mom :D I had work again that evening, and then it was Winterization weekend so there was a SAG meeting. I wasn't as involved with the planning side, but I did volunteer as a Support And Gear member, we're out in the areas with teams and bring things like ladders and rakes when they need them. After the meeting, I knew that I was going to have to get up early so I went to sleep fairly quickly.
Saturday was Winterization! Last year I managed to sleep through 30 min of alarms going off every minute (admittedly, I could have turned them off in my sleep) so it was exciting when I actually woke up on time this year :]
I was on a SAG team with Meagan Sapp-Nelson, Sam Ferdon and Aaron Addis. Sam was driving, Aaron navigating and Meagan and I were communications people - we wanted the teams to call us when they got to houses and left houses and when they needed things so we could make sure they were doing okay. Unfortunately, Sam was driving his brother's truck (Andrew who lived here last year) and the back of Andrew's truck is rather small... Meagan and I were slightly cramped but we made it work. It was kinda funny, Aaron and Sam know each other and were bickering a bit at various directions so Meagan and I were entertained :] (When we answered phones, I said 'SAG Wagon, this is Carly' and she said something similar, that's where the title of the post comes from :] )
And it was only 2.30p when we were all done and leaving Wesley to go home! Last year people were still working on houses at 3pm O.o Unfortunately I was kinda hurting so I watched us beat Iowa (!!) and then went to sleep a bit before Eric came over to join Kyle and Seth play some Halo 4 and I watched before going to GABS (and the women won again!). And then after GABS, I watched some more Halo and Fringe with Geoff and his roomies. It was kinda funny, when Geoff and I got there, Joe was playing Halo online with his brother and some friends but John wanted to watch a movie. He said 'Hey, Geoff and Carly are here so we should watch a movie now' but I said 'But, it's Halo! I want to watch him play' and Geoff said something about picking the right girlfriend :D
Yesterday I got to have a nice relaxing morning - it was blissful after the long day I had on Saturday. Around 12.30 I got lunch with Lauren T from Psi - it was her birthday! We got some chili and chatted, it was fun :]
I was planning on going to get groceries before work, but when I was looking to see what channels had football going, I saw that Band of Brothers was on Spike for Veteran's Day. So Band of Brothers won :]
I got scheduled to work at 4.30p - I have church at 4.30 and chapter at 7.30 so I had no idea why I was there. It was an easy sound shift though, just plug one end of the cord into the mic and the other into the wall and you're golden so I got everything set up and then left as they were serving food to go to chapter. After chapter I went back to put it all away (I don't like making other people clean up the sound stuff if I'm scheduled for a sound shift) and then went to the CoRec. I had a five mile run scheduled, so I was running on a treadmill for 54 min. The thing is, anything more than 10-20 min on a treadmill drives me bonkers so at least I had my ipod to sing along with - yay Disney workout playlist :]
I had planned on watching the Bears game after that, but they weren't playing all that well and Band of Brothers was still playing so I watched that :]
And now today I had class this morning, then got to chat with my mom :D They (she, my dad and brother) went to Missouri over the weekend to visit Mizzou for Ricky and visit the Bogdas - I was thinking about driving out to visit too but with Winterization it wouldn't've worked. But I did get to talk with her today, and my dad's going to be here tomorrow so that helps :] And now I need to actually go to the grocery store, so I shall post this.

I'm not questioning your powers of observation, I'm merely remarking on the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.
A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having :]
To finish from Tuesday last week, after I posted I saw an envelope on the table and the address looked suspiciously like my mom's handwriting and CM stickers... It was a package from my mom! :D And it definitely made my day - inside was fun socks, iTunes giftcard and a butterscotch See's lollipop, she knows me so well :D
We had our last GABS rehearsal before the first game, and I may or may not have been fighting with the tuba - the part holding the mouthpiece wanted to move and I wanted it to stay put. I think the tuba won...
Wednesday I had classes and after had some of my leftover tomato soup :D For the remainder of the afternoon, since we didn't have orchestra, I was reading on a couch in the second floor common room while watching Seth play Skyrim before going over to Geoff's and watching Super 8, which was a good movie.
Thursday I woke up from a rather vivid zombie dream (that I didn't write any of it down, so now I don't remember it really) and looked at my watch to see it say 10.50. I looked at it for a bit longer to make sure that was what it said (I've misread my watch enough times to be wary of what it says on first glance), and when the numbers didn't change or rearrange themselves, I looked at the text messages I'd gotten during the night (facebook and twitter - I'm so cool ;D ) and wondered how the heck I managed to sleep so late.
So, of course, when I looked at my watch again after reading texts, It said it was 8.51. Sometimes I wonder what's wrong with my brain...
During my stat class that day, a girl in the row next to me had Starbucks and it was the day after Halloween so obviously it's time for the Christmas Starbucks cups...
I was preparing the desserts for the pseudo house dinner that evening, so I was baking most of the day. That was fun :] Then we had dinner and an All Saint's Day service at Mount Zion church - a church that Wesley's associated with.
After the dinner, I went for a run at the new CoRec - I like the new building :]
By the time it was Friday, I couldn't believe that it was already Friday (the first few days of the week went by without me really realizing it since I was so stressed).
I went to class and then had nothing to do, so I took a walk to Happy Hollow Park. That was nice, it was a beautiful day outside.
When I got back, I listened to music and wrote a bit, suddenly realizing that there was no one else in the house. It was a little odd.
Staying in an empty house by myself all evening on a Friday - I'm so cool and popular :D
Heh, or not. Oh well, I brewed some Polyjuice potion on Pottermore and was happy :D
Saturday I was serving the football team breakfast and lunch, so from 6.30a to 2p I was at work. Which means I missed the sleet - evidently it was sleet/snowing in the morning.
Then it was time for the game! The halftime show was really really cool too :D
Unfortunately, the game didn't go quite as well... Geoff and I decided at the end of the third quarter that we couldn't feel our feet and were hungry so we wanted to head out. We went back to his apartment (yay warmth!) and watched some more football - so a typical Saturday for me :D
Sunday I got up early to go to stadium cleanup, and after that I had a little bit of time to get ready for GABS. I made sure to get to Elliott fairly early so I could get my tuba and follow someone over to Mackey since I really didn't know where to go.
And it was time for that game! I didn't get any pictures (sorry, mom) since I was playing and everyone around me was playing. However, I'm planning on giving my camera to a friend for next game so I should have some then.
The game went well, and it was so fun :D
After that, I went to church. And it's a good thing Wesley isn't traditional, given that I was dressed in athletic shorts and a tshirt, my GABS uniform. I kinda looked like a frump, but that was ok :]
I had chapter, and then remembered that I had to write a Spanish essay that night... Oops.
Today I woke up and finished the essay that I started, and went to class. It's chilly outside today. And today's the fifth of November, so therefore it was obligatory that I watch V for Vendetta. The Eagles are playing the Saints tonight, so I knew that I wouldn't want to watch the movie after orchestra so I watched it after class. And now I'm finishing up Stat homework for tomorrow before I go to orchestra.
Remember, remember the fifth of November, the Gunpowder Treason and plot.
I know of no reason why the Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot.
